In the spirit of Christ’s love and compassion, Mpigi Parish recently carried out a special outreach to visit the elderly and the sick in our community. This heartfelt initiative was a reminder that as followers of Christ, we are called to care for the most vulnerable among us, bringing them comfort, encouragement, and the assurance of God’s presence in their lives.
During the visit, parishioners, accompanied by priests and lay leaders, shared moments of prayer, conversation, and fellowship with the elderly and the sick. Many received the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick, a powerful sign of God’s healing grace. Gifts of food, essential supplies, and spiritual reading materials were also shared, bringing joy and hope to those in need.
It was a deeply moving experience to witness the smiles and gratitude of those we visited. For many, these visits were not just acts of charity but moments of reconnection, healing, and renewed faith. Their stories, wisdom, and prayers continue to inspire us all.
As a parish, we are reminded that the love of Christ is best expressed through acts of kindness, compassion, and presence. Let us continue to reach out to those who may feel forgotten, ensuring that no one in our community is left behind.
May God bless our elderly and sick, and may our parish continue to be a beacon of His love!
