March 23rd was a day of immense joy and spiritual renewal as St. Joseph Catholic Parish marked its Parish Day in a grand celebration. The day began with a beautiful Holy Mass, led by the esteemed Papal Nuncio, Archbishop Augustine Kasujja. The presence of Her Worship Justine Atukwasa Kazibwe as the guest of honor added a special touch to the occasion. In his powerful sermon, Archbishop Kasujja reminded the faithful that the Catholic Church is the mother church and a strong foundation for spiritual growth.
He spoke passionately about the significance of constructing a new church, emphasizing that this project would not only elevate the spiritual life of Mpigi Town but also enhance its social and economic well-being.
What followed was a remarkable display of faith and generosity. Moved by the message and the vision for the future, the congregation came together in unity and managed to raise an astounding 90 million Uganda shillings. This generous contribution will play a crucial role in making the dream of a new church a reality.
The celebration was not just about fundraising—it was a testament to the strength of community, faith, and shared purpose. The parish extends heartfelt gratitude to all parishioners, well-wishers, and supporters for their unwavering commitment and prayers. May God bless you abundantly as we continue this journey of faith together!
