On Sunday, 24th May 2026, St. Francisco Choir of Mpigi Roman Catholic Parish successfully organized the Marian Carols event at the Parish Gardens beginning at 2:00 PM. The event was dedicated to honoring the Blessed Virgin Mary through prayer, music, and fellowship while raising funds to support the choir’s ministry.
The afternoon was filled with beautiful Marian hymns and inspiring performances that brought together parishioners, invited guests, and fellow choir members in a spirit of devotion and unity. We were honored by the participation of other parish choirs, including St. Joseph’s Choir and Holy Trinity Choir, whose contributions made the event even more memorable.
The primary purpose of the fundraiser was to support the acquisition of essential choir equipment and uniforms that will enhance our music ministry. The items required include:
- Amplifier – UGX 1,500,000
- Four microphone stands – UGX 70,000 each
- Four microphones – UGX 150,000 each
- Four microphone wires – UGX 100,000 each
- Thirty choir uniforms – UGX 70,000 each
- Top speaker – UGX 750,000
- Choir tops – UGX 20,000 each
St. Francisco Choir extends sincere gratitude to all invited guests, parishioners, well-wishers, and choir members who attended and generously contributed towards this noble cause. Your support demonstrated the strength of our parish community and your commitment to promoting sacred music in the Church.
Although the fundraiser was successful, the choir still welcomes additional support to help acquire all the required items. Any contribution, no matter how small, will go a long way in strengthening our ministry and enabling us to continue serving God through music.
We therefore invite individuals, families, organizations, and friends of the parish who would like to support this cause to reach out to St. Francisco Choir through Mpigi Roman Catholic Parish.
